Ervin M. Hostetler

Ervin M. Hostetler, 79, of Arcola, IL passed away at 8:50 A.M. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at his residence.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2020 at the Myron Hostetler residence, 191 North Co Rd 525 E., Arcola, IL. Bishop Ervin Plank officiated. Burial was in the Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL. under the direction of the Edwards Funeral Home.
Ervin was born on July 27, 1940 in Geauga, County, OH. He was a son of Menno and Ada (Schmucker) Hostetler. He married Dorothy Herschberger on September 28, 2007 in Arthur, IL.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hostetler of Arcola, IL; two sons, Kenneth Earl Hostetler and his wife, Valerie of Arcola, IL and Ervin Leroy Hostetler and his wife Rachel of Arcola, IL; three daughters, Betty Ellen Miller and her husband Levi Jr. of Shipshewana, IN, Leanna Kay Helmuth and her husband Raymond of Howard, OH and Laura Mae Diener and her husband David of Arcola, IL; 28 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three brothers, John Hostetler and his wife Martha of Shipshewana, IN, Neil Hostetler and his wife Deloris of Arthur, IL and Joe Hostetler of Jamesport, MO, five sisters, Sarah Detweiler and her husband Henry of Shipshewana, IN, Esther Miller and her husband Perry of Shipshewana, IN, Miriam Lehman and her husband Joni of Shipshewana, IN, Laura Eash and her husband Melvin of Shipshewana, IN and Erma Hostetler of Gravel Switch, KY.
His parents, his first wife, Fannie Marie (Miller) Hostetler, one sister, Elva Gingerich and one brother-in-law, Monroe Gingerich preceded him in death.
Ervin was a member of the Old Order Amish.
